The Students' Union recognises the high cost of fees and the barriers to access for students entering University. Visit an RSU table at the Student Centre - 55 Gould Street to get your orientation kit!

Pick up a handbook

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 6, pick up your FREE Members Handbook & Day Planner. The handbook is an easy way to keep track of your busy schedule and  provides you with detailed information about the RSU and the Canadian Federation of Students. Keep organized and get informed!

Buy your textbooks – save money and trees

Get your textbooks at the Used Book Room. 

Go to your first class and then head to the store in the Student Centre lower level (55 Gould St.). Check availability online at www.usedbookroom.ca 

Pick up your International Student Identity Card (ISIC) – get student discounts:

Available for free at the Member Services Office, the ISIC card provides discounts in 70 countries worldwide including Canada on accomodation, admission to historical sites and museums, and transportation. 

 

 

 

Purchase your discount TTC Metro Pass

If you will be commuting to campus using the TTC there are now two ways that the RSU saves you money 

1. Transferable discount metro pass: You can share with anyone. Sold for $107/month at the Student Centre only. 

2. NEW Student discount metro pass Sold for $99/month at the Student Centre and at TTC booths across the city. To purchase this you require a TTC student ID card, cost $7/year. 

The TTC student ID card distribution will take place in August at the Student Centre on the following days: 

Monday, August 29 to Thursday, September 1 @ 10:00AM - 6:00PM bring $7 (cash or debit)

 

 

Attend the Week of Welcome

The Week of Welcome is RSU's way of welcoming students back and kicking off the school year with a bang!

Taking place Tuesday, September 6 to Friday, September 9, pick up your handbook and orientation kits, learn about the RSU and have a great time on campus. Head over to Gould Street for live entertainment and information about campus life! All events are FREE and open to all students. 

 

 

Get Active

Whether it's affordable transit, equity, student debt, sustainability or student rights - the RSU organises campaigns to raise awareness about issues that affect students. Get involved, come to a meeting or event, to help build a more inclusive and equitable campus.

Learn about your coverage – our Members’ Health and Dental Plan

The RSU has got you covered! You are automatically enrolled onto our Members' Health and Dental Plan. The Plan covers extended health and dental insurance and costs $295. If you have comparable insurance opt-out for a refund! 

 

The OPT-OUT deadline is: Friday October 7, 2011 at 6:00 PM 

 

Opt-out refund cheques are available early November. Opt-out online at optout.rsuonline.ca      

 

NOTE: Opt-out doesn't start until September 1.
